Today Isla and I made a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake! Which is in reality more like one massive brownie. I looked on in awe at the amount of chocolate, chocolate powder, butter, sugar, milk that went into this thing haha. It was so dense it was almost impossible to get out of the heart shaped tin 😛
Here’s a picture:
And i had my very own human washing machine after… licked the bowl clean for at least 10 minutes, then had two slices of cake haha 😀
Isla and I had our first attempt at cooking out in Dubai. I had a brilliant idea of making cookies and then cutting them into heartshapes. Well we didn’t have any baking trays so used the cooker trays 😛 , then the mixture was too gooey to use the templates. Then as soon as a i put them in the oven the bottoms burnt and the tops wouldn’t cook… haha oh well. Isla and I still had fun making and eating the raw cookie dough 😛 Isla is a chocolate monster! 😀 This is the recipe, I don’t think that was the problem though.
Here’s a very non-appetising photo:
I think in future I’ll stick to my forte… cakes 😀
My sixth form education is officially over. The Ball was a perfect way to celebrate the end. I had so much fun 😀 There was a great steel band, food, and free dodgems! haha, I’m easy to please 😛 I don’t think I stopped dancing all night…
Here’s a picture of Mark and I:
Dad is a massive fan of all things ginger… so for Father’s Day I made a Sticky Ginger Loaf. Had a few problems with mouldy hard sugar and no pecan nuts, but managed to pull a few things together and this was the outcome 😀 Could have done with a bit more ginger, but overall very scrummy.
Except after Dad got his hands on it there’s less than half left 😛 Sally had better come quick!
I made this soup today from my 101 Veggie Dishes BBC recipe book; except I used cabbage instead of spring greens. It was so yummy! Really refreshing and light, perfect for summer 😀
Tomorrow… a cake for Dad, I already know exactly which one 😛
I bought them from Irregular Choice… who, I have now decided, are one of the coolest companies ever 😀
I went to collect them today as my treat after a very hard day yesterday… two exams, and four essays in total! Think they went OK though 😛
So here they are! Look how cool the soles and packaging are!!
I want to wear them all day… everyday 😛
Esta noche, cociné Gazpacho. Un plato tradicional de Andalucía en España. Era delicioso…
It was absolutely perfect, just the right amount of spice and refreshment. This is the link to the recipe I kind of followed.
Here’s a picture… I didn’t have it all to myself haha.
I’m trying to take my mind of my exams/impending doom ( 😛 ) a little bit, and starting to day dream about my ball! 😀
I’ve got my dress, but I need some help from all the women that read my blog about which shoes to get, I’ve no idea.
Here’s the dress… so you get an idea of the colour and style (they’ve taken the dress off the website, fingers crossed that means nobody else will have it 😛 ):
Ok now here’s some of the shoes I like 😛 I want practical ones that I can dance in…
I’m not sure whether any of them are perfect 🙁 all I could find though.
This is one of my all-time childhood favourites; but notoriously difficult to make. So I had a go… and I’m very pleasantly surprised!Dad thinks it is amazing, I say it could do with a few more test runs. I’d have liked the meringue to be a little larger and more crispy. Other than that I’m extremely proud of myself 😀
I took a personality test that Mark found on the net. Here’s my results, I’d say they’re pretty accurate really.
It’s weird how both my personality and learning style are suited to Psychology 😛
I retook the personality test in a better mood and my results came out rather different :P Just shows how subjective to mood these things really are. I would say I'm more extraverted though, only when I'm in a good mood. Which is rather a lot :P
