Today Isla and I made a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake! Which is in reality more like one massive brownie. I looked on in awe at the amount of chocolate, chocolate powder, butter, sugar, milk that went into this thing haha. It was so dense it was almost impossible to get out of the heart shaped tin 😛

And i had my very own human washing machine after… licked the bowl clean for at least 10 minutes, then had two slices of cake haha 😀
Dad is a massive fan of all things ginger… so for Father’s Day I made a Sticky Ginger Loaf. Had a few problems with mouldy hard sugar and no pecan nuts, but managed to pull a few things together and this was the outcome 😀 Could have done with a bit more ginger, but overall very scrummy.
Except after Dad got his hands on it there’s less than half left 😛 Sally had better come quick!
I made this soup today from my 101 Veggie Dishes BBC recipe book; except I used cabbage instead of spring greens. It was so yummy! Really refreshing and light, perfect for summer 😀
Tomorrow… a cake for Dad, I already know exactly which one 😛

This is one of my all-time childhood favourites; but notoriously difficult to make. So I had a go… and I’m very pleasantly surprised!Dad thinks it is amazing, I say it could do with a few more test runs. I’d have liked the meringue to be a little larger and more crispy. Other than that I’m extremely proud of myself 😀
Ooh it’s yummy 😀 I’ve made another lovely cake from my Cakes and Bakes recipe book. I had a little helper, my three year old niece Isla, who mashed some bananas and gave a running commentary… “ooh, YUMMY!” and “that looks yuuucky” haha 😛

Oh.My.God. It is delicious, quite possibly the yummiest cake I have made to date. It’s a mixture of cinnamon sponge, and an apple layer topped with crumble… absolutely perfect mix for the ‘buds. hehe 😀

I made my mum a lemon drizzle cake for mothers day. I followed a recipe from the internet; here it is. It was pretty easy, except for a few panics when my mixture curdled, and the syrup was a bit awkward. It all turned out lovely and delicious in the end though, Mum was very pleased :). Here’s a picture of the results:
Today I had a very successful bake 😀 I made a ginger and pear cake from one of the new recipe books I got for Christmas. It was delicious! Here are a few piccies 🙂
I’ve had a much more successful cook today 😛 On the menu today was tuna and sweetcorn pasta bake. Turned out quite well I think; at least Mark and I enjoyed it, and there’s plenty left for lunch tomorrow hehe.
